In 1975, Gerald Oppenheim, founder of Ego Pharmaceuticals, was approached by the Queen Victoria Hospital to create a specialist skincare product for their dermatology ward. With no soaps, fragrances or common irritants, the bath oil he developed soon became the gentle cleaner of choice. Made available in pharmacies in 1978, QV Skincare, as we know it today, was born.
