The owners of Mollydooker Wines, Sarah & Sparky Marquis, are some of the most decorated winemakers in the world. They have received five 99-point scores from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate; four of their wines have been chosen in the Wine Spectator’s ‘Top 100’ and their Carnival of Love Shiraz has made the Wine Spectator ‘Top 10’ list two years in a row. Sarah and Sparky have been named ‘Australian Winemakers of the Year’ by WineState Magazine in 2000 , have been chosen by Robert Parker among the ‘Top Wine Personalities in the World’, and have been crowned ‘McLaren Vale’s Bushing King and Queen’ a record three times.

The winery is in beautiful scenic McLaren Vale. The vineyards are situated on the magical Seaview Ridge, with its ancient soils and Mediterranean climate. All of the grapes are grown sustainably. Mollydooker strives to make wines that make people go “Wow!” through attention to detail and commitment to excellence: from its Marquis Vineyard Watering Programme to the special and recognizable labeling of each bottle.

Summer of ’69 was inspired by owner Sarah Marquis' birth year. She wanted to celebrate this era of peace, love and good times.

A bouquet of honeysuckle and lemon followed by a sherbet edge. Fresh pineapple, white peach, green apple and apricots fill out the flavours giving the wine a light, summer feel.
