Why is pulp measured in gsm?
Gsm means gram per square meter. That is the weight of paper per square meter. Of the same paper type, 80g paper is certainly thicker than 60g paper.
The thinner the pulp, the lighter it is, and the thicker the pulp, the heavier it is?
uncertain. Each type of paper has different composition and density, and weight and thickness may not be directly proportional. Just like iron sheets are heavier than cotton bricks. Therefore, when using GSM to judge the thickness of two pieces of paper, you must first know that they are of the same paper type.
