<FAQs>
Is the NanoFoamer under warranty?
Yes, the NanoFoamer comes with a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase.
How do I switch ON/OFF the NanoFoamer
Make sure the NanoFoamer is fully charged. Press on the button to turn ON. Press a second time to change to a lower speed. Press a third time to turn it OFF.
How to use the NanoFoamer?
Aeration determines the amount of foam-3 seconds for a flat white and 15-20 seconds for a cappuccino. First, fill the container with hot or cold milk. Then, place the impeller just below the surface in the jug's centre, press the button to turn on the device, listen for a gushing sound as bubbles form, and move slightly up and down to control foam creation.
Transitioning is key to achieving a smooth vortex. Slowly move the impeller off-centre (towards the left) while keeping it just below the surface, ensuring a strong flow.
Churning refines the texture by fully submerging the impeller near the vortex without touching the bottom. Keeping a steady hand helps create smooth, micro foamed milk. Once the milk is foamed, turn the device OFF and remove from the milk. It is important to avoid hitting the shaft against the container to remove excess milk, as this can damage the shaft. Instead, lift the NanoFoamer just above the milk, press to turn it ON, leave 2-3 seconds and then press to turn it OFF. Remember to rinse the NanoFoamer after use.
Does the NanoFoamer heat milk?
The NanoFoamer does not heat the milk; you'll need to warm the milk beforehand to about 55-65°C (130-150°F) for optimal results. Do not overheat your milk as the proteins in milk start to break down at 70°C, and it will lose its sweetness.
Can I use all types of milk?
For optimal milk foam, use whole or semi skimmed milk at refrigerated temperature (about 4-6 °C). You can use soy, almond or oat drink for your preparations. Warning: Plant-based beverages contain allergens (gluten, almond, soy) and should be handled carefully by persons suffering from food allergies. The volume of froth depends on the nature of the beverage used, and its temperature.
Can I use the NanoFoamer for protein powder or matcha?
Yes, however, it is important you remove the NanoScreen and use it with the impeller only to not damage the NanoScreens.
How much milk do I need?
It's easier to get good results when you have enough milk in the jug, as you need some depth to submerge the impeller and create a good vortex entirely. Insufficient milk will result in big bubbles.
What's the maximum amount of milk I can foam?
You can foam 200ml in a standard size of milk jug to get a smoother microfoam without losing too much vortex strength. Although this varies with the jug you are using, you would need more in a wider body jug for larger volumes and for a narrow jug when using smaller amounts of milk.
The quality of milk froth is not up to standard?
For optimal milk foam, use cold milk or semi skimmed milk at refrigerated temperature (about 4-6°C). To guarantee hygiene conditions, use heat treated milk (pasteurized), refrigerated and freshly opened only. Milk which has been frozen will not froth.
Additionally, make sure that the NanoScreens are clean and free of any residue.
How should I clean the device?
Be sure to rinse and spin the NanoFoamer immediately after each use, either in a glass of water or directly under running water in the sink. This will prevent milk from drying on the NanoScreen, the rotation will eject any residue. A drop of dish soap can be added.
Occasionally, remove the NanoScreen and scrub it. We don't recommend removing the NanoScreen with each use as it may gradually loosen the fit.
Do not put the NanoFoamer in the dishwasher and do not immerse into water for cleaning purposes. Use non-abrasive cleaning materials. Dry all parts with a fresh and clean towel, cloth or paper or let it air dry.
Is the NanoFoamer waterproof?
It is waterproof to level IP4, which means you can freely rinse it under running water after each use.
